Strumenti per trovare secrets in git repos e file system

Note

  • TruffleHog v3 può verificare molte credenziali live e scansionare GitHub orgs, issues/PRs, gists e wiki. Esempio: trufflehog github --org <ORG> --results=verified.
  • Gitleaks v8 supporta la scansione della history git, directory e archivi: gitleaks detect -v --source . oppure gitleaks detect --source <repo> --log-opts="--all".
  • Nosey Parker è focalizzato su scansioni ad alto throughput con regole curate e fornisce un Explorer UI per la triage. Esempio: noseyparker scan --datastore np.db <path|repo> poi noseyparker report --datastore np.db.
  • ggshield (GitGuardian CLI) fornisce hook pre-commit/CI e la scansione delle immagini Docker: ggshield secret scan repo <path-or-url>.

Dove i secrets comunemente leak su GitHub

  • File del repository nei branch di default e non-default (cerca repo:owner/name@branch nell’UI).
  • Intera history git e altri branch/tag (clona e scansiona con gitleaks/trufflehog; la ricerca su GitHub si concentra sui contenuti indicizzati).
  • Issues, pull request, commenti e descrizioni (TruffleHog GitHub source supporta questi tramite flag come --issue-comments, --pr-comments).
  • Logs di Actions e artifacts di repository pubblici (il masking è best-effort; rivedi logs/artifacts se visibili).
  • Wiki e release assets.
  • Gists (cerca con tool o tramite l’UI; alcuni tool possono includere i gists).

Avvertenze

  • La REST code search API di GitHub è legacy e non supporta regex; preferisci la Web UI per ricerche con regex. La gh CLI usa la legacy API.
  • Solo i file sotto una certa dimensione vengono indicizzati per la ricerca. Per essere esaustivi, clona e scansiona localmente con uno scanner per secrets.
